Wife and I moved in with mother-in-law. We pay all the bills, medical expenses, and any expense she incurs. How or where do I deduct that and what can I deduct
she has macular degeneration, Alzheimer and early dementia
We sold our home and have been living with her in her home.
we pay all property tax bills, heating, utilities, improvements.
we take her to doctor, shopping, and any other place she needs to go.
we pay all groceries, clothes for her, prescriptions, medical supplies
we pay for private care 3 x week @$20 per hour

Deductions & credits
You may be able to add her as your dependent. By claiming her as your dependent, you reduce your taxable income by $4,050.
You may be able to claim her if:
· You provided more than half of her support.
· She made less than $4,050 in gross taxable income.
· She lived with you for the entire year.
· She isn't a dependent on someone else’s taxes.
· She isn't filing a joint return with someone else.
· She is a U.S. citizen, resident alien, national, or a Canadian or Mexican resident.

You can also deduct her medical expenses as part of your itemized deductions on Schedule A.
