Deductions & credits
Yes, you may deduct the mileage for work-related trips between job locations. But not the mileage to and from your primary work location (commuting miles).
The entry screen asks for:
- Total miles for the year (ending odometer miles minus beginning miles)
- Business miles for the year (total miles for work-related trips)
- Commuting miles for the year (total miles between your home and your primary work location)
- Average daily commute (total miles for one round-trip between home and work)
