Yes you may deduct these expenses on your return as Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions reported with Schedule A. Please keep in mind that Schedule A is the counterpart of the Standard Deduction. If the sum of deductions in Schedule A do not exceed your Standard Deduction amount, Schedule A will not be beneficial to your return. Additionally, these are Miscellaneous expenses that have a floor at 2% of your AGI, this means that only the sum Miscellaneous Deductions that above 2% of your AGI will be considered as a deduction.
