Can I use bank statement instead of receipts for business related expenses like "meal entertainment"?

Husband's job requires frequent restaurant purchases with clients. He is not great at keeping receipts but we can identify the purchases on bank statements. Is this enough for tax filing, or would we need the printed receipts of those meals?
