The mileage cannot be deducted as it an optional cost. The uniforms can and should be deducted as they are a required item for the job (in this case, the USMC) and are using out of pocket payments not refunded by the military. With all applicable receipts and paperwork, deductions will be simple. Keep in mind, however, that the more deductuons made, the more likely an audit becomes.
