You can edit the amount reported. Sign into your account and into your return:
Click Federal on the left side-bar
Click Deductions & Credits along the top
Scroll down to Your Home click Edit (or Start)
Scroll down to Property (Real Estate) Taxes Paid click Edit to enter additional tax paid
IF THE TAX WAS REPORTED AND ENTERED FROM A 1098:
Click Federal on the left side-bar
Click Deductions & Credits along the top
Scroll down to Your Home click Edit (or Start)
Scroll down to Mortgage Interest, Refinancing, and Insurance (Form 1098) click Edit
