The sales tax deduction is $1,356. I purchased a car & paid sales tax of $1,248. Seems sales tax deduction of 6.5% for all 2016 would be much more than the $108 shown.
Looks like you would have a standard deduction for sales tax in 2016 w/o a major purchase. I thought the sales tax paid on the major purchase would be an add on to the normal deduction?
