I have been tracking mileage for my business vehicle for my small business (sole proprietor) for many years. I put all of my mileage in when I am completing the Schedule C which includes all of my sales and expenses for the year. I have never had to add my mileage anywhere else on the return. It would likely be different if you are an LLC or Corporation.
