Deductions & credits
The usual reasons for not getting a Renter's Credit are:
1. Your adjusted gross income is too high ($40,078 single or married/RDP filing separately, or $80,156 for other filing statuses), or
2. The credit is nonrefundable so you have to have a tax liability to offset it, or
3. You don't qualify based on your answers in the Qualification Record in the TT/Calif interview
