Can I receive the American Opportunity Credit if I paid tuition this year, but it was not within my first four years of college? Turbo Tax gave me the credit, but did not ask any questions as to which year of college I am in. This was for a teaching credential so not graduate level, but definitely after my first 4 years. When I read the fine print, it seems it needs to be within my first four years of college. Any details would be appreciated!
