The moment you said he was committing tax fraud by not reporting all his income you opened yourself up to the tongue lashing ... and I fully agree with Opus when he told you the unvarnished truth of his situation ... trust me, an economic audit is a terrifying event (and they can audit back several years which can be daunting) and your family really needs to reconsider their actions. Please pass along the Domesday warning to them and encourage them to get on the up & up.
