If the concern is that you did not reside in the US, it may not be an issue in your case.
Servicemen stationed overseas are considered as living in the United States for the entire year for EIC purposes. See the following link:

Members of the
military on extended active duty outside the Unites States are considered to
live in the United States for tax purposes.
