You may be able to deduct certain taxes associated with the purchase if you itemize. Here is how to enter it in the program:
- Select the Federal
Taxes
tab
- Select Deductions
and Credits
- Select Cars
and other things you own. You may be eligible to deduct certain
taxes associated with your car.
- Then go through
the sales tax interview under Estimates
and Other Taxes Paid and enter the sales tax you paid on the automobile
