In TurboTax go to federal taxes and select deductions & credits
Under the heading Your Home select mortgage and click start
The next field will ask if you paid any home loans in 2018.
Select No. A $0 symbol will appear next to the update box indicating that no mortgage interest was paid.
Follow the prompts to continue entering the data for your home
