I Bought a new truck and had a trade in.
The sales tax paid was based on the full value minus the trade-in value.
The total value minus the trade-in is only 5.9% taxes paid.
While the tax rate was 10% at location purchased.
The tax form asks for (Total Value) (taxes paid) and (% paid)
The disconnect confuses me.
Do I leave the numbers as actual?
Do I reduce the total value to get the % to 10% for location.
