Deductions & credits
This should be included in your taxable wage on your W2 provided to you by your employer. The employer maintains the account and you can exclude the income only if it is used for allowable expenses.
If for some reason your employer does not include the taxable portion in your W2, box 1, then you can add this to your line 7 wages by using the steps here.
- Select Federal tab on the black navigation panel, left
- Under Wages and Income scroll to Less Common Income > Miscellaneous Income
- Select Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099
- Continue through the entry selecting yes for additional wages until you reach the entry point.
- The reason code is "should have been reported on W2" (click the images attached to enlarge and view).
