You also apparently confused the standard deduction with the AGI-based limits on charitable contributions (usually 50% of AGI) and/or overall itemized deductions (capped for all taxpayers over a certain AGI). The standard deduction has nothing to do with AGI, except it OR your itemized deductions is deducted from AGI (along with personal exemptions, which Trump's bill eliminates) to arrive at taxable income.
