Deductions & credits
Yes you can deduct expenses related to this. I will provide a few helpful links below so you can have an idea of what you can deduct and what you can not.
IRS Form 1040, “2015 Instructions for Schedule A” (PDF link), the Boy Scouts of America is listed by name on page A-9 as a “qualified charitable organization,” so BSA expenses are eligible.
- Cash/check donations
- Property donations
- “Out-of-pocket expenses you paid to do volunteer work”mileage, uniforms
- Travel expenses, like meals or lodging
- The value of your time
- Scouting dues or membership fees

To enter these you will use the charitable donation area.
Select FEDERAL TAXES > Deductions & Credits> Charitable Donations
