Last time my husband and I filed our taxes, 2015 taxes, his aunt did it for us, now I have to do it and I don't know what expenses I can write off, my husband is 1099 and has a lot of work related expenses such as tools and equipment, gas and hotels, and I have all the receipts. But I don't know which ones I can include, can I put all expenses until right before I file or only the ones that occurred in 2016 calendar year?
