I paid for child care with a portion of a Dependent Care Spending account and out of pocket. Can I still claim the child care credit?
My total child care expense was $2,415 this year. I paid for this using $2,100 from a dependent care spending account and $315 out of pocket. This happened because we had a child in September and I had no idea when she was going to be going to day care so I did not want to over fund the account and lose money. Since I do not exceed the $3,000 maximum, can I claim the $315 for the child care credit?
