Follow the steps below to enter your personal property taxes.
- Open your return in TurboTax.
(To do this, sign in to TurboTax and click the orange Take me to my return button.)
- Select Federal Taxes (Personal depending on version).
- Select Deductions & Credits, click Show all tax breaks (if needed)
- Scroll down to the Cars and Other Things You Own section, click Show More to expand the options.
- Click on the Start/Revisit button to the right of the Personal Property Taxes topic.
- Follow the prompts.
Please note: Some states have additional requirements for leased property. TurboTax will help guide you through this section in the state return.
