I made charitable donation. However it has no effect on my tax.

I have only 1099 income in 2018.  Turbo Tax applied standard deduction to my tax of $12000 (individual). I entered a goodwill charitable donation of $450.00.  That did not reduce my tax.  Am I doing something wrong?
