TurboTax Self-Employed is the version of TurboTax you are using, so it doesn't mean you are being listed as self-employed on your return. Depending upon the information needed to be reported on a tax return, different versions of TurboTax can be used. TurboTax Self-Employed is the upper end of the versions and includes all individual tax scenarios that TurboTax covers.
