Enter your Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid in the Federal portion of your return. You'll enter all your estimated tax payments – federal, state and local payments – on your federal return.
To enter your Federal Estimated taxes:
- Type estimates paid in the search box and click search.
- Click on Jump to estimates paid.
- At the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid screen, under Estimated Tax Payments, click on Federal estimated taxes for 2016 (Form 1040ES).
To enter your State Estimated Taxes:
- Type estimates paid in the search box and click search.
- Click on Jump to estimates paid.
- At the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid screen, under Estimated Tax Payments, click on State estimated taxes for 2016.
To enter your Local Estimated Taxes:
- Type estimates paid in the search box and click search.
- Click on Jump to estimates paid.
- At the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid screen, under Estimated Tax Payments, click on Local estimated taxes for 2016.
To enter your 2015 state estimated taxes paid in 2016:
- Type estimates paid in the search box and click search.
- Click on Jump to estimates paid.
- At the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid screen, under Estimated Tax Payments, click on 2015 state estimated taxes paid in 2016
