Deductions & credits
I am an employee paid with W-2 wages by an employer.
I itemize my deductions because what I pay in things like (mortgage interest, property taxes, union dues etc.) exceed my standard deduction of $6350. Does itemizing the things listed above lower my AGI? Because if so then my work deducted expenses are more than 2% of my AGI.
At the end of the day if itemize work related expenses and claim them won't the turbo tax software let me know whether I am allowed to claim them or if claiming them will help my tax situation at all?
