Again, I'm not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination. But in my state of FL what your boss did is without a doubt in my non-legal mind, a blatant violation of state labor laws. Were it me, I'd get a lawyer and do everything possible to sue him into a tax bracket well below the poverty line.
