If you're a U.S. citizen or resident. You'll need to report all your income, whether it was earned in the U.S. or abroad.

To enter foreign income:

  1. Log into your account and continue (if not already there).
  2. In the Search box (top right-hand corner), type “foreign income”.
  3. Click on the Magnifying Glass icon.
  4. Click on “Jump to foreign income link high-lighted in Blue.
  5. Answer “Yes” to Did You Make Any Money Outside the U.S.?
  6. Answer the Step-by-step instructions.

If you lived and worked in a foreign country, you might qualify for the foreign income exclusion. We'll ask questions to see if you quality after you've entered your foreign income.
