Deductions & credits
All of the above may be true. But after working on importing data into my Ttax return, I think Franklin or Intuit have changed something this year. If you have, say, an IRA at American Funds, it has one account number with multiple mutual funds. At Franklin, your "IRA" is really a series of individual mutual fund accounts. Last year, when importing from Franklin, they asked for your Franklin Login ID and password. This year, Ttax asks for an account number and your Soc Sec No. Assuming no typo's, Ttax communicates with Franklin and imports the data for the specific account. But the ability to see all the associated Franklin account numbers seems to have disappeared.
Perhaps Franklin and Intuity can work this out in the near future. In the meantime, I think we have to live with multiple single imports, or (ugh) entering the necessary 1099-R, 1099-B, and 1099-Div info manually.
Thanks for your ideas.
