This is still happening in TY 2025... I was unable to force TT to allow me to use my larger itemized deduction amount. The twist this year is that the "Use Standard Deduction" box was NOT checked in the Fed Info Wks. So I checked the box "Check this box if you are itemizing..." in Part VI of the Fed Info Wks to force it to itemize. That worked.
