To enter or correct a Form5695 in TurboTax, you can follow these steps
- Select Tax Tools from the left sidebar.
- On the drop-down select Tools
- There will be 2 green boxes
- Select Topics Search
- Type 5695
- Continue through the interview or post your corrections
The 4th question in will ask:
Did you have any of these residential clean energy costs in 2025?
We need to know if you had any costs for these clean energy improvements.
We'll ask about some other energy improvements later.
You can claim costs for:
- Solar electric property
- Solar water heating property
- Small wind energy property
- Geothermal heat pump property
- Battery storage technology
- Fuel cell property (main home only)
- Answer [Yes], we made these residential clean energy improvement
This will give you the opportunity to post section 1.
