Generally, if your full HSA contribution is showing as taxable, it is because your HDHP coverage has not been correctly entered. You must have proper HDHP insurance coverage in order for HSA contributions to be non-taxable.

 

Can you see your form 5329? If so, please look at form 8889-T and tell us the values on

Also, are you filing married joint, and does your spouse have a separate HSA? If so, please list the same numbers for form 8889-S.
