How old were the children at the end of 2024? If they were over 16 at the end of the year they do not qualify for the $2,000 child tax credit. They only qualify for the $500 credit for other dependents.
If the children were under 17 at the end of the year and you are only getting the $500 credit, check the birth dates that you entered for the children.
