Where do you see the $2450? When looking at your Form 1040, look at lines 19 and 28 for your Child Tax Credit total amount. They have to be under 17 as of 12/31/24 - Otherwise, they only qualify you for a $500 credit.
Also, the credit phases out once your income reaches
- $400,000 if you're Married Filing Jointly
- $200,000 for all other filing statuses
If your AGI is higher than that, the amount of Child Tax Credit you're eligible for is reduced by $50 for each $1,000 your modified AGI is above the income threshold.
