Deductions & credits
First, I just want to say something that I am sure you already know, your due date as an American overseas is June 15th. I don't know if that makes you feel better, but it makes me feel better.
Second, why do you say that "As I am overseas, I can not file by mail". It must be something about where you are, because the IRS provides addresses for Americans overseas to file by mail.
As for what you have tried so far:
I am in an endless loop where it ONLY asks me if I am disabled or a full-time student, then exits the entry screens and back to the main deduction page.
You are asked this if TurboTax doesn't see any earned income on the part of one of the spouses. As you know, each spouse has to have earned income or be a full-time student or disabled. When you see this screen TurboTax has determined that one of you does not have earned income, and evidently you are not saying that that spouse if a student or disabled, so TurboTax ends the Child and Dependent Care interview because you (two) don't qualify. That's why you're being directed back to the main deductions page.
If you want to proceed through the interview, you need to lie to TurboTax and say that that spouse is a full-time student, so that you can proceed through the rest of the interview.
But I am puzzled. If you had 2441 information already entered, and both spouses had earned income, then I don't think you would have seen that initial "are you a full-time student or disabled?" screen.
When you try to e-file, what is actually happening? I don't think you have told us what the error is, but only that you want to delete the 2441. Was there an error message? a reject code?
Another question. When you deleted the 2441, did you go back to taxes then immediately return to the list of forms to see if the 2441 was there? If there is a trigger (like that box 10 on a W-2 that you don't have) then the form will reappear almost immediately.
So if we were not lucky and the preceding was no help, please come back and tell me what version of TurboTax you are using: Online or CD/download, and if the latter, Windows or Mac.
Then tell me if you are filing Married Joint, and how much earned income each spouse had. Also, since there were no W-2s, how was this earned income entered? Schedule C (sole proprietorship) is OK even in foreign countries, but pension and retirement income is not. Perhaps TurboTax is not recognizing that the income you entered was earned income.
OK, that's a start...
