Credit for foreign tax paid (on dividends)
Every year I have to figure out again how to enter the credit for foreign tax paid (on dividends). It has been difficult and weird and different each year.
.
Finally this year TurboTax has made it, not difficult, but entirely impossible to figure out what to do.
Also if I want to review the amounts I entered, the only option is to discard all entries and re-enter everything.
.
Really, Turbo Tax? Really?
.
Suppose I have accounts at three brokerages. Two of them have Canada dividend income (and foreign tax paid on it). One brokerage has a mix of several countries dividend income (and foreign tax paid on it). The 1099 just says VARIOUS countries.
Tell me how to enter the information. Tell it real simple like I was only a human.
