Deleting the Real Estate Tax Entry:
- Log into TurboTax Online and open your return.
- Click on Tax Tools in the left menu.
- Select Tools.
- Click on Delete a Form.
- Scroll down to find Form 1098 and click Delete next to it.
Re-entering Mortgage and Property Tax Information:
- Locate the search bar in the upper right corner of your screen.
- Type "mortgage interest" into the search bar.
- Select the "Jump to mortgage interest" link that appears at the top of the search results.
- This will take you directly to the Mortgage Interest, Refinancing, and Insurance (Form 1098) section.
- Enter the details from your Form 1098 and other documents, including mortgage interest and property taxes paid.
- Follow the prompts to ensure all information is accurately entered.
