Can I enter information on 1042-S (employer etc.) when I am filing federal tax as a resident (1040)?
I am working in the US on a J1 visa (research scholar). For 2024 I received both a 1042-S listing income from a fellowship (first 9 months of 2024) and a W2 (covering the last 3 months of 2024).
For 2024 I have to file as a resident (1040). I would like to know if I can register in TT that I have received the 1042-S and how I should do that.
As suggested I have added the income listed on the 1042-S under Miscellaneous Income/Other reportable income. Can I add additional information through TT to indicate that I received a 1042-S and from who I received the income reported on the 1042-S?
