Ok, so I re-entered everything a third time and THIS time instead of TurboTax saying that the standard mileage deduction was the best choice, it said my actual expenses, which THIS time included the section 179 deduction, was the better choice. I'm learning that this means I won't be able to switch to taking the standard mileage rate in the future though. Always some trade-offs guess. Anyhow, third time was the charm I guess? Kinda makes you wonder if you shouldn't just enter everything else three times...
