I am a NY State resident, but I had a 2nd home in the state of Florida. It was a total loss due to Hurricane Helene.
I get the Federal deduction on TT but not the NY state deduction. Are state deductions for federal disasters only applicable if the disaster occurs in the state where it occurred ?
