Deductions & credits
No. You would report the TDS deduction refund as interest income in your return. Here is how to report.
- log into your account
- Go to income
- Go to Investments and Savings (1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-K, Crypto)
- Navigate through these entries until you reach a page where you will select interest.
- Fill in the section. If it asks for a FEIN, use 99-0999999
- Finish out the section. Make sure you report this in US dollars.
If using Turbo Tax Desktop:
- Go to Federal Taxes
- Wages and salaries
- Interest and Dividends
- Interest on 1099 INT
