Deductions & credits
I can take a look.
However, two points I'd like to make. With respect to the personal property tax category, last year is last year and this year is this year. Entering the data I have should not be a problem, that is, I should not be prevented from entering information for the current year. If the information from successive years somehow relate to each other in the tax calculation, then the algorithm should handle that. Second, if the SALT limit is hit before I get to the personal property tax category there is still no reason to prevent me from recording the data I have. Again, the algorithm can ignore it if that's appropriate, but I should not be prevented from entering the information.
The problems I've encountered were not present in Turbo Tax 2023 and should not be present in Turbo Tax 2024. But they are. And INTUIT should have better quality control in place to prevent releases that contain bugs, and really needs to fix them more quickly. Especially if they expect people to continue paying more and more for their software.
