Deductions & credits
There are two ways that you can delete a 1098.
First try going to the input screen.
- Under Federal
- Go to Deductions and Credits
- select Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098)
- [Add/Edit]
- If an item appears click the down arrow
- Scroll slightly down and select delete.
The second option
Select Tax Tools
- Tip: You may have to minimize tabs for both Federal & State
- On the drop-down select Tools
- On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form
- This will give you all of the forms in your return
- Scroll down to the form you want to delete
- Select the Form 1098
- Or anything referencing mortgage.
- Click on Delete.
