Hello, thanks so much for answering my question. I have a couple more if you don't mind.
Why is it that I'm not getting a refund, we owed $3k total with married filing jointly with social security, pension and no taxes taken out which we knew of. We also filled out a 1099-Misc Form for Section 8 Housing and it went to zero refund. I spent a total of $16k, $8,000 for remodeling and another $8,000 for maintenance, repairs, labor and supplies/etc. The balance still remained at zero. I thought that maybe I would have received a bigger refund for spending a total of $16k. Is there something I missed or I'm not understanding?
