I have two copies of Form 1095A for 2024. The first is for my wife and me which shows full months from January through September, and a partial month for October. The second is for my wife alone after I went on Medicare. It shows a partial month for October and full months for November through December. Turbotax is adding the October SLCSP from both Forms 1095A and calculating a large PTC Allowed for that month. The IRS instructions for Form 8962 state that the two SLCSP numbers should not be added together. The second form has the premium pro-rated and the Advance PTC prorated, but the SLCSP shows a whole month value and is not prorated. I can prorate the SLCSP and the Form 8962 then looks correct; however, that would make my entry not match the second 1095A. I'm afraid the IRS will reject it if it doesn't match the official form. Any suggestions?
