Load of crap. I was prepared to pay the $19 for the basic service (NOT free). Turbotax calculated everything including my educator expense deduction and showed me exactly what my return would be including that deduction. Then, just before it was time to file, they pull the "you have to upgrade for $49" card. Why? "Educator expenses." The calculation was already done. All they had to do was take down the gate that prevented me from filing. Instead, they tried to get another $49 out of me for a piddly deduction that wasn't worth $49. I'm done with them.
