Deductions & credits

If you are able to enter the expenses associated with your home, there is nothing else you need to do.  There is no longer a first time homebuyer credit.  If you paid taxes at closing, you will enter them as additional taxes not on your 1098-S.  

 

You may have some additional expenses, such as points for your loan.  I suggest reviewing this article: Buying Your First Home and making sure you are taking advantage of all the deductions available to you.
