A. Yes. The Child Tax Credit for each child is worth up to $2000.
Q. My Medicaid and SS (FICA) taxes stayed roughly the same.
A. FICA is a fixed percentage and not affected by the number of dependents or anything else (other than income top limit).

A. No. They got it right.
