Deductions & credits

Open TurboTax like you originally did. Then click on add a state - this is how you start to amend the return. I am not sure where it is, maybe under Tools.

But, in fact, you won't add a state, but TurboTax will open the input so that you can see your original input.

The question you are looking for is "What type of High Deductible Health Plan did [name] have on December 1, 2023?" in the HSA interview.

In your case, you should have answered NONE.

The question pops up because you evidently don't have an HSA, so you never went through the HSA subinterview for you, only for your spouse. Therefore, you never had the chance to tell TurboTax that you had HDHP coverage for 2024. But when you answer that question with "Self-only" or "Family" coverage for 2023, then TurboTax mistakenly thinks that you lapsed in coverage for 2024.

The net of this is that you should answer this question with NONE, which I think you did. If you did, declare victory and relax - no amendment needed (for this, anyway).
