To allocate your community property in TurboTax, use the magnifying glass to search for community property. Click on the link that says jump to community property.
On the next screen, answer yes to Do you have community adjustments or community property to report?. Follow the next few screens to report your adjustments to income and tax withholding.
Whether income is considered community property and how it must be allocated between spouses depends on the state, so you will need to be familiar with your state's law's. Typically, each of you would need to report half of each other's income and tax withholdings.
For example, if you earn $50,000 and your spouse earns $60,000, you would each report $55,000 income ($50,000 + $60,000 = $110,000/2 = $55,000).
