Deductions & credits
No, you can only e-file your M1PR when you prepare your Minnesota taxes in TurboTax. If you e-file your Minnesota return without Form M1PR, you can't go back and e-file it later in TurboTax.
You can prepare it in TurboTax, print, sign, and mail it in. To do that in TurboTax Online:
- Sign in to TurboTax.
- Select Add State.
- Select State Taxes, then Your State Returns.
- Select Edit to the right of Minnesota.
- Answer all the questions until you get to the Other Forms You May Need, and select Property Tax Refund (Form M1PR), then Continue.
- Continue until you get to the Filing instructions screen, and select Print Form M1PR.
- Mail the printout by August 15 to:
Minnesota Property Tax Refund
Mail Station 0020
600 N. Robert St.
St. Paul, MN 55145-0020
If you are the homeowner, you can e-file it directly on the MNDOR website. Follow this link to learn more about that.
